1. What Affordly Collects

Affordly does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. This applies to all parts of the site — the affordability calculator, the subscription audit tool, the rent vs buy calculator, the budget builder, the Affordly Insights articles, and all other pages.

There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no contact forms, and no comment sections. We have no way to identify who you are.

2. Your Financial Data Stays in Your Browser

All of Affordly's tools run entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. This includes the affordability calculator, the subscription audit tool, the rent vs buy calculator, and the budget builder.

The financial figures you enter — income, expenses, savings, purchase price, deposit amount, property state, loan details, rental costs, subscription names, subscription amounts, and budget line items — are never transmitted to Affordly's servers, stored in a database, or shared with any third party.

When you close or refresh the page, all entered data is gone. We have no access to it.

The budget builder includes an optional export feature that saves your data as a JSON or CSV file directly to your device. This export is performed entirely within your browser — no data passes through Affordly's servers at any point.

3. Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights across all pages of Affordly, including all tools and Insights articles. These services are cookieless and privacy-friendly — they collect only aggregated, anonymised data such as page views, device type, browser, and referring URL. They do not track individuals, do not collect personal information, and do not use cookies or fingerprinting.

4. Hosting & Infrastructure

Affordly is hosted on Vercel. As with any web hosting provider, Vercel's infrastructure may log standard server access data (such as IP addresses, request timestamps, and URLs requested) as part of normal operations. This is handled in accordance with Vercel's Privacy Policy.

5. Third-Party Services

Affordly loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may log font requests in accordance with their own privacy policy. No financial or personal data from Affordly is shared with Google.

Affordly Insights articles do not embed third-party tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or social media widgets.

6. Australian Privacy Act 1988

Affordly is operated from Australia and is committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) to the extent they apply. Because Affordly does not collect, store, or transmit personal information of any kind, the privacy risk to users is minimal.
